In the morning transfer Petra. We visit one of the seven wonders of the world. The home of the Nabataeans carved into the rocks with huge colored stones, which gave the city the nickname of the red rose. The tour starts at the “siq” junction lined with mountains in different colors and we walk up to the treasury. Our trip starts through the king to Mekawir – the site of Herod’s palace, where according to one legend, King Solomon danced and John the Baptist was executed. After visiting Hord’s residence, we continue to Mount Nebo. Here you can think of the view that Moses called the Promised Land and later died and was buried here. Next, we will go to the city of Madaba, where you will discover amazing Byzantine mosaics, including a map of aba Madaba, which is the oldest preserved mosaic map of the Holy Lands. After the tour, transfer to the hotel in Amman.
We continue to the north for a full-day tour of Jerash; the best-preserved city of Roman times; theaters, temples, and colonnade streets. You continue to Ajloun, where you can enjoy a visit to Al-Rabid Castle; a castle from the 12th century built by one of Saladin’s lieutenants in the fight against the Crusaders. You will also visit Anjara. Pilgrimage to the Virgin Mary of the Mountain Church – a rebuilt cave that is worshiped as a place where Jesus and his mother Mary walked during their journeys between the Sea of Galilee, the cities of Decapolis, Bethany beyond the Jordan, and to Jerusalem. We start the morning with a visit to the citadel in Amman. where you will find remains from the Roman to the Islamic period and archeological museums. You will also visit the place, Bethany, on the Jordan River, associated with the baptism of Jesus. Then relax with a swim in the Dead Sea at one of the hotel’s resorts. Enjoy the sun at the lowest point on Earth and try a refreshing mud bath to cleanse the skin. Watch the sunset over the hills of the West Bank with Jerusalem in the distance. Return to Amman for accommodation.
